Between worrying about rising COVID cases, fundraising, finishing reports, tending to family members, and writing grant proposals, finding about a productive workspace almost seems negligible in the grand scheme of things. At least that’s what Megan McElfresh, Executive Director of the Stained Glass Association of America, thought before she stumbled upon on a space where she could not only be productive but also feel refreshed by her surroundings. In this session, Megan will share her inspirational journey from “demolition-style” home office space to hygge, the Danish and Norwegian word for coziness and contentment. She’ll also provide attendees with tips on where to find their own hygge, even in the middle of a bustling city.
During this session, attendees will:
-
Hear a personal story of how one’s productivity and well-being can be positively impacted by the right workspace
-
Discuss and discover new possibilities for creating hygge in your preexisting workspace or in an office space outside of the traditional cubicle
Megan McElfresh became Executive Director of the Stained Glass Association of America (SGAA) in Fall 2017. Her background in operations management, economics, and glass art made her a unique candidate to take on the leadership role for the SGAA as it approaches its 125th anniversary.
